Assumptions

Every planning number lives on this page. Change one here and the whole dashboard follows.

Expected sales per day, next 60 days

This is the one number everything else hangs on. Type what you believe. The column next to it is what Pipedrive actually did, as a reality check, not as the input.

Planning rules

Review period is how often somebody actually looks at this page. Looking less often means carrying more stock, because a problem can go unnoticed for longer.

30 = a monthly check
used for the reality-check column above
expensive or long lead time
middle of the road
cheap and fast to buy

How the numbers are worked out

Standard reorder point with an order-up-to level. Nothing clever, which is the point: anyone can check it by hand.

daily use = sum over devices of (units per day x BoM quantity) safety stock = daily use x safety days reorder point = daily use x lead time + safety stock target level = daily use x (lead time + review period) + safety stock position = on hand + on order order advice = target level - position, rounded up to pack size and MOQ ORDER position has dropped to the reorder point LOW position will drop through it before the next review LATE an order is past its latest acceptable delivery date Deliberately not used: EOQ. It needs an order cost and a holding cost that nobody here can state, and the answer swings wildly on those guesses.
